Pet Sitting Services & Rates

Bonded, fully insured, police clearance (PIC/PVSC), trustworthy...

Your pet is going to miss you while you are away - simple as that...We are here to alleviate some of that for your pet. Your pet staying in its normal environment is a good thing…Bluewater EPA offers an alternative...an in-your-home service for pet care while you are gone...We will take a short but extensive history from you about your pet, in order to know all of his or her vital information - and also to know what they like, don't like, and how to put them at ease...Prior to any sitting service - we will meet with you for a quick meet and info session. Please note that we do not charge for this, as well as no charge for key drop off/pick up.

Bluewater EPA is no longer taking dog sits. We will still consider some dog sits for those dogs that have to stay in their home because of injury, illness or age issues. We will continue doing cat sits and various other pets that need tending.

We are currently servicing Sarnia. Point Edward, and Brights Grove... Camlachie and Corunna areas can be considered on an individual basis...overnight pet sitting in your home is an option, but would be considered on an individual basis, (and upon my availability)...and may possibly incur some additional cost...

Bluewater EPA's Pet Service is here to serve you and your pet's needs as little or as much as you require.   We will look after your pet while you are away - walks if required, food and water every visit (or as advised), playtime, brushed (if they like it), petted and talked to. We will administer meds where required, but are not currently doing any injections.

We offer all of these services, and can amend any pet sitting visit to whatever you require. We offer various other services including: Pooper Scooper services, cat-box cleaning and refilling, food and kitty litter pick up and drop offs...

Extra pet or pets

- one single charge (per extra pet) of $13.27  ($13.27 + $1.73 HST - $15 total) **not a daily charge - just $15 extra for the duration of the pet sit...

Pooper Scooper Rates  

- We will come to your home and clean up your yard. We will pick up all we can, tie and double bag it all. Will be put in YOUR garbage can for regular garbage pick-up. Rates are $26 including HST, ($23.01 + $2.99HST) for a general clean up of your yard. Generally we get approximately 1 - 2  "grocery bags" full for a first visit. If you have a very large dog and/or an inordinate amount of "doggie doo" please be advised up front that the rate will be $39 total (incl HST)…We will assume that you understand the simple and justified reasoning behind this…

First Time Clean-up Visit -  $29  

First Clean-Up of Spring - $49-$89 (extra dog add $20)

Weekly yard Clean-up - $17

Bi-weekly yard Clean-up - $29

Multiple dogs - add $9 to either service...

Cat Sitting Rates

- $26/Day -  ($23.01+HST)

 It may be a little unfair to say to cat lovers, but felines are a little better than their dog counterparts when it comes to being alone for a long stretch of time. Therefore - we offer a less expensive one visit per day to visit with your cat. They will be watered and fed, and litter box will be scooped daily. We will visit with your cat, talk to it, give it a nice pet or scratch if it wants to, and make sure that he or she is doing well in your absence…No extra charges for a 2nd cat…(but there will be if you have 3 or 7 cats…) If a 'twice a day' visit is required for your cat, a minimal additional daily charge will be worked out for you...

 ***ALL MULTIPLE DAY PET SITTINGS WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING HOME SITTING SERVICES  -  mail/flyer collection, various lights off/on, garbage day put out, curtains close/open, front and back door sidewalk shovelled pathway, (in winter of course), and if requested - a couple of emails while you are away -  advising that your pet is doing good, sleeping in their bed and getting an extra treat tonight...

Please note - Winter Snow Removal for Driveways

***Your walkways and steps will be cleared of any snow on any day that it snows, all inclusive with your pet sitting time service. We will salt your steps with an 'eco-friendly' de-icer, or will spread any other de-icer that you would like to provide...

 - Rather than have a "winter rate" - we offer this simple fee for clearing snow from your driveway - we have changed our pricing from a higher daily rate - to a rate where you will only pay accordingly…if it snows more than 4" on any given day there will be an additional charge of between $22 and $33, depending on the size of your driveway, This can be confirmed for you with a printout of Sarnia weather, and will be discussed prior to you leaving on your trip. We hope that you see this as fair - the estimation for snow removal is not easy if you run into multiple snow days... 

**Please note - 'Once a day' Cat visits will have an additional charge for snow-blowing driveways...(it'll be reasonable...)

BIRDS / FISH / RODENTS / REPTILES / EXOTICS -

all are eligible for sitting , rates are the same as Cat Sitting. We have a short but extensive list for your pet - with most of these specialty animals we will want specific instruction from you for their care. Birds and fish eat little bits at a time - and we will want to know exactly how you will require them to be tended.  Bluewater EPA owner has had a few birds in his life, and enjoys caring for and looking after them very much. Fish are good - rodents and reptiles not so much - but we can look after them all just the same...$26/1 visit per day incl. HST ($23.00 + $3.00 HST)

To add a bird or fish or exotic to existing cat or dog sit - we will not charge daily for an add on of a bird or fish tank…if you have multiple pets we will have a single $10 charge add on for the entire duration of the pet sit…($8.85 + $1.15 HST)
